Refresher Course

Approximately half of all people that fail the Government licensing exam will rewrite the exam. It is not often necessary to re take the entire course so a short refresher course is offered. The refresher course is usually nine days (two weekends and five weekdays) with both class time and time on the logs. The cost for the refresher course is $600.00.

Log Scalers that have not used their license for several years will also take the refresher course and thus make them ready for employment. The refresher course is open to any person that either has a license or has failed the licensing exam regardless of which scaling course they have taken.

Students that have already been through the process of preparing for the exam have a much better understanding of how prepared you must be. People find the exam less difficult the second time around as the nervousness and uncertainty of the exam is diminished.
